Efficiency is increased thanks to a cylinder
deactivation system that is fitted alongside the V8 engine as standard
and had previously helped the SLK 55 achieve impressively low
consumption, therefore setting the benchmark in its segment.
Designers and aerodynamics experts combined seamlessly to develop the E 63 4MATIC+. The results not only resulted in handsome AMG body styling but also performance-orientated lift balance for agile handling on country roads and flawless driving stability at high speeds on the motorway.
Both models are exclusively available with the proprietary AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive system which allows for increased driving stability and handling safety under all weather conditions.
Combined with AMG DYNAMIC SELECT the E 63 allows the driver to extensively influence the driving characteristics of the vehicle by selecting ‘Comfort’, ‘Sport’, ‘Sport Plus’, or ‘Individual’ drive programmes.
The E 63 S 4MATIC+ also comes with the ‘RACE’ drive programme for highly dynamic driving on closed race circuits.RACESTART control logic has been updated to improve launch control when selecting one of the sportier drive options which is advantageous when utilising the RACETIMER, standard on the E 63 S 4MATIC+.
