Mercedes-Benz of Norwich were able to take part in a very special handover, one everyone at the dealership had been looking forward to for some time.

In the run up to Christmas, Robinsons were in the seasonal spirit and the mood for gift giving and launched a Facebook competition called Wish Upon A Star that was open to the public. Participants were invited to enter the prize draw by way of commenting on a selected Robinsons Mercedes-Benz Facebook post which prize they would like the opportunity of winning.

Each entrant had the opportunity to choose from a list of specially chosen items that would make wonderful presents for themselves or that ideal gift for someone special. Gifts that were up for grabs ranged from a remote-controlled G Wagon to a Mercedes-Benz watch and his & hers fragrances to a women’s premium leather wallet, plus many more Mercedes-Benz luxuries besides.

After being inundated with hundreds of entries the two-week competition drew to a close, where only one lucky winner could be chosen. The fortunate recipient chosen at random of their Wish Upon A Star was Gina, from Bury St Edmunds. Gina wished for a Ride-on Bobby AMG GT for son. Upon informing Gina of her winning by telephone, she was delighted to be the winner and “…couldn’t wait to see the smile on his face” when he got to receive his new set of wheels.

As the winning prize was a ride-on car there was only one way the AMG GTS could ever of been presented to Cameron, aged 2. His new set of wheels must have a hand-over complete with unveiling. After arriving at the Norwich showroom, Cameron and his parents were greeted by the team and Cameron was so excited to receive his 'new car' in the handover bay. As soon as he saw it he whipped off the cover and hopped on for a drive, whizzing around making his best cars noises.

"It’s wonderful what the Robinsons team have done, not only have they given Cameron an amazing prize, but they’ve gone the extra mile to make this experience even more special and one to look back fondly on for years to come." - Gina, prize winner
