FRESH from receiving plaudits for its new E-Class saloon, Mercedes-Benz has revealed details of the range-topping E63 AMG model.
Using the highly-impressive 6.2-litre V8 seen across the AMG range, the E63 model offers a mighty 518bhp and 465lb.ft of torque, delivered through the seven-speed automatic transmission. Although more powerful than the outgoing model, the new E63 AMG also achieves a 12 per cent increase in fuel economy at 22.4mpg combined.
The E63 AMG is distinguished on the outside by wider front wings, tinted headlights and a subtle bodykit including a discreet front spoiler, while the cabin is packed with equipment, including a three-stage ESP system and adjustable suspension.
Sales in the UK will begin in the autumn, and although prices are yet to be confirmed expect to pay over £65,000.
