Tough, rugged, refined. The new pick up from Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is one of a kind. Whether shifting a 1000kg load up a 100% gradient, or covering 600 miles on one tank, Amarok's been designed to take even the toughest challenges in its stride.

Tested in Dakar, ready for life on site, it's flexible enough to be used day-to-day about town. With three available drive configurations, Volkswagen's Amarok will take you anywhere you need to go. You can choose from Selectable 4MOTION® all-wheel drive, Permanent 4MOTION® all-wheel drive and Rear-wheel drive (single cab only).

There's even a choice of suspension settings. Heavy-duty leaf springs for difficult assignments and comfort leaf springs for a smoother, quieter ride.

Add the high standard of build quality and all the attention to detail you'd expect, and the Volkswagen Amarok looks set to make a huge impression.

• 4MOTION®, plus Hill Holder and Hill Descent Assist, make light work of difficult slopes.
• Haul up to 2800kg worth of heavy machinery, trailers, boats or caravans.
• Driving aids including Electronic Stabilisation Programme (ESP), and Electronic Differential Lock (EDL), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Anti-Slip Regulation (ASR) give you maximum control on any surface.
• Widest-in-class load area means Amarok can hold a Euro pallet sideways.

It will be available as a four-door double cab version from launch in late 2010, then with a single cab model to follow in 2011.
