The paper part (D740) of photocard licences has now been abolished in England, Scotland and Wales. The information on the counterpart has moved online. This means that we will now need to follow a different procedure for customers who wish to use our vehicles on our insurance.
We request that our customers will now need to provide us with a proof of the current state of their licence. In advance of a visit to any Robinsons showroom, visit www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence follow the instructions to generate a code (only valid for 72 hours).
Customers will need their licence number, national insurance number and post code. After generating a code, print off your driving licence information by selecting ‘share your information’ and then select ‘view, print or save licence information.’ This document can then be given to us and retained as proof we have checked your licence.
