Volkswagen Electric + Hybrid Vehicles

The multi-award winning city car from Volkswagen – fully electric.

The e-up! is the electric version of Volkswagen’s multi-award-winning city car. With nippy handling, e-up feels even sharper than its petrol-powered equivalent, and its silent cruising makes it relaxing to drive through congested cities. From the interior, the e-up! has the feel of a much bigger car with room for four adults and their luggage.

The fully-charged range sits at 99 miles. Powered by 18.7kWh lithium-ion battery pack that generates 81bhp and 155lb ft of instantly available torque. For a full charge, a three-point plug will take around nine hours, although a fast-charger will take 30 minutes to provide 80% - perfect for an overnight charge.

Golf GTE

A hybrid option in the Volkswagen e-Mobility range – the Golf GTE is driven by two engines.

Powerful, sporty and responsive, the Golf GTE offers the best of both worlds, combining all-electric drive with GTI dynamics. With the touch of a button, it moves from all-electric to the combined power of the electric motor and TSI petrol engine, delivering near GTI performance, propelling the Golf GTE from 0-62mph in 7.6 seconds. Alternatively, driving in all-electric mode gives you a range of up to 31 miles from a full charge, and when electric and petrol combine, the total range is up to 580 miles.

So whether you press the GTE button or not, a new driving experience awaits you, powered by the hybrid of a 1.4-litre 150 PS TSI direct-injection petrol engine and a 102 PS electric motor.

*This information should be used for illustration purposes only. Standard EU Test figures for comparative purposes, may not reflect real driving results. *The 'combined/weighted' fuel consumption / CO2 figures are calculated from two test results: one when the high voltage battery is fully charged and another when the high voltage battery is discharged. The two results are a weighted average, taking into account mileage range on battery power only, providing a figure in a variety of charge conditions. Extended range achieved by 1.4 TSI petrol engine generating electricity. Fuel consumption and CO2 emissions figures are obtained under standardised test conditions (Directive 93/116/EEC) using a representative model. This allows direct comparison between different models from different manufacturers, but may not represent the actual fuel consumption achieved in ‘real world’ driving conditions. Electricity is mains sourced and emissions are while driving. More information is available at
