What do i get with Volkswagen Motability Car Scheme?

Updated your car every three years.​

As part of the Scheme,you are entitled to a new car every three years. Our knowledgeable sales team will contact you a few months before the end of your current contract, and if you decide to continue with Motability, we will invite you back into our friendly showrooms so you can choose a the model best suited to your next three year contract (provided you are still eligible

Nil Advance Payment​

With a wide range of Volkswagen models to choose from, suiting all needs and budgets, you can drive away a Brand New Volkswagen car with nil advance payment 


Included as part of the Motability Scheme, our worry free insurance package provides similar cover to that expected under a fully comprehensive policy. If you can’t drive yourself, you can still take advantage of the Scheme by nominating two drivers who will drive on your behalf. And if you decide to leave Motability at a later stage, you can request a letter confirming your claims history to take to your new insurer.

Servicing & Maintenance​​​

Servicing and maintenance are a worry of the past under the Scheme. Taken care of by us at Volkswagen, you’ll have no unexpected repair bills on your car.

Annual car tax​​

Completely taken care of from the moment you take delivery of your new car, we will arrange for your car to be taxed each year of your contract (unless you have chosen to pay tax privately).

Repair & Replace​​

Should anything happen to your windows or windscreen , repair and replacement are included in the lease.

Many adaptations at no extra cost

The world is your oyster once you’ve been approved or the Scheme. Each car contract comes with a 60,000 mileage allowance spread across your three year contract. If you wish to travel further, there’s a charge of 5p for every additional mile

If you need adaptations to make your car easier, safer or simply more comfortable to use, you’ll be pleased to know that many of the most popular ones are now available at no additional cost.

Volkswagen Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles (WAVs)​

Allowing you to travel without leaving your wheelchair, a WAV may be the solution for you. Travel as either a passenger or driver, contact our Sales Executives to discuss your needs.

What’s not included?

Although almost everything is included, please note you will be responsible for paying the following:

  • Fuel and consumables; such as screen wash
  • Optional extras not fitted as standard; such as leather seats
  • Adaptations; some need an additional payment
  • Insurance claims; an insurance excess will apply on any claim for loss or damage. This excess amount varies depending on the age and experience of the driver (full details can be obtained on consultation).
  • Fines; any parking or speeding fines are your responsibility
  • Theft of, or damage to, personal belongings; these include wheelchairs, coats or mobile phones (full details can be obtained on application).
