Golf GTE

A creation of all-electric drive with GTI dynamics offers the best of both worlds. With the touch of a button, the GTE can move from driving all-electric to the combined power of the electric motor and TSI petrol engine to deliver close to GTI performance. From 0-62 in 7.6 seconds and iconic GTI-style sports appeal, a new driving experience awaits.

Details include the blue e-Design accents and a blue-backed Volkswagen logo both front and rear. The black grille has a closed finish with GTE lettering. The bumper pulls off a sporty look with its distinctive fins.

Golf R

Drawing inspiration from motorsport, the Golf R delivers the performance and technology you would expect. Going from 0-62 in 5.1 seconds, this model is for those who love the limelight and excitement of driving. Powered by a 2.0 litre TSI engine with 300PS, top speeds (where the law permits) accelerate to 155mph.

Details include ‘Black’ brake calipers with ‘R’ logo, ‘R’ sports suspension, ‘Black’ rear diffuser and twin oval chrome exhaust tailpipes to the left and right. The distinctive ‘R’ styling pack with specially shaped front and rear bumpers and side sills and unique ‘R’ radiator grille with matte-chrome strip hint at the power within, while ‘R’ badging, and matte-chrome effect door mirrors add to the thrill.

Golf GTD

The Golf GTD’s 184 PS engine is the most powerful GTD engine to date. The 2.0 litre manual 184 PS engine accelerates from standstill to 62mph in 7.5 seconds. The eye-catching exterior of the GTD is built to impress– uniquely shaped front and rear bumpers and ‘Black’ honeycomb front air intake and radiator grille hint at its sporting prowess, while illuminated door sill protectors lowered sports suspension and a prominent rear spoiler reinforce the look.

Inside the GTD, hot hatch styling includes classic‘Jacara Grey’ tartan heated front sports seats, ‘GTD’ instrument cluster, stainless steel pedals and stylish grey stitching on the leather trimmed multi-function steering wheel and gear knob gaiter.

Golf GTI

The iconic GTI is now better than ever, with sporty features, leather steering wheel and red 'Jacara' cloth seats.

The Golf GTI remains true to itself, still retaining its iconic detail – the ‘Black’ honeycomb radiator and front air intake grilles, side skirts and gleaming chrome ‘GTI’ badge – but now with a modern twist. Not to mention the acceleration, 0-62mph in 6.5 seconds with 350 Nm of torque produced by the 2.0 litre TSI 220 PS engine. The optional ‘GTI Performance pack’ features larger brake discs than standard, red brake calipers with ‘GTI’ logo, mechanical limited slip differential and an extra 10 PS, accelerating from 0-62mph in 6.4 seconds.

Golf GTI Clubsport Edition 40

To celebrate 40 years of the iconic GTI, this limited production GTI is the most powerful to date with exclusive Clubsport styling, alcantara steering wheel and alcantara / cloth seats.

The Golf GTI Clubsport Edition 40 rides on exclusively forged, weight-optimised 18 inch ‘Quaranta’ alloy wheels with its striking red brake callipers adorned with the ‘GTI’ logo clearly visible for all to see. Unique GTI Clubsport lettering above the side skirt and high-gloss black door mirror housings complete the distinctive new side profile. Optional ergonomic sports bucket seats with prominent lateral support provide optimal comfort and stability when cornering and black honeycomb patterned backrests and seat centre section with red seaming perfectly complementing the sporty car. The traditional red stripe extends across the honeycomb grille into the headlights, while the red GTI badge pays homage to its iconic heritage.

Standard safety features:

The new Golf also features a number of innovative standard safety systems. Standard on all new Golf models is a multi-collision brake system. This automatically brakes the vehicle after a collision, to reduce kinetic energy significantly and thus minimise the chance of a second impact. Also standard is the PreCrash system that made its debut on the Touareg. If it detects the possibility of an accident, it pre-tensions seatbelts and closes the windows and sunroof, leaving just a small gap, to ensure the best possible protection from the airbags.
