SKODA announces Amazon Alexa integration

Thanks to ŠKODA Connect and Amazon’s virtual personal assistant, Alexa, ŠKODA owners can now check the status of their car across all their devices equipped with the Alexa voice service.

Owners can interact with their vehicle whenever and wherever simply by asking their Alexa equipped device and receive information from their fuel level to the average speed of their last journey.

Always forgetting where you parked? Alexa can tell you.

Can’t remember if you left your lights on? Alexa can tell you.

Not sure if you’ll make your journey without stopping for fuel? Alexa can tell you.

Alexa can access 12 different parameters relating to the condition and status of your car. This innovative technology couldn’t be easier to set up. ŠKODA owners need to simply update their Alexa device with a new ‘Alexa Skill’ called ŠKODA Connect.

Once installed and linked to the owner’s ŠKODA Connect account, Alexa can access real-time information and relay this to the owner on request. ŠKODA Connect is available on FABIA, RAPID, OCTAVIA, KAROQ, SUPERB and KODIAQ models and is made up of three core services; Infotainment Online, Care Connect and Emergency Call.

Care Connect gives owners remote access to their car whenever they are away from it. With the new integration with Alexa, owners can now access information about their car with their voice as well as via a smartphone app.
