The network of 214 Volkswagen Dealers from all over the
UK gathered for the 2020 Retailer Business Conference in London on Friday 24
January. The Lowestoft Volkswagen dealership were among the top winners on the
day for their outstanding results of their dealership in 2019, taking 7
place from strong competition.
The award-winning local dealership is judged on every level of their business’ performance, including customer satisfaction and loyalty for all new and used car purchases, in addition to their repairs and servicing responsibilities. In an update to these measures last year, scores were collected for how well the team integrated digital experiences into a visit to the branch, excelling in these new expectations we have for retail. Mystery shops are thrown into the mix to test the robust on-floor team, with marks for creating a comforting environment and whether the visitor felt valued.
Shaun Pointer, General Manager of Robinsons Lowestoft, took the role in June of last year moving internally from the Norwich dealership back to Suffolk, where he started his career with Robinsons. Shaun shares the success of this accolade with his dedicated team, saying “We were driven to create an all-round better environment for customers and staff last year. Keeping focused on the results has reignited the passion in some and given confidence to newcomers to the trade.”
The end of the year proved to be the final push towards ranking in the excellence awards the team needed. Finishing in 1st place for new cars sales, from sitting in 24th just 3-months earlier and reaching 3rd place consecutively for excellence in used car sales. With such a strong finish to the year it’s clear Lowestoft Volkswagen will be fighting for another prestigious ranking in the 2020 Excellence Awards.
Robinsons commitment to strengthening their Lowestoft dealership, which also includes the Audi and SEAT franchises, indicates a future focused on better customer experiences and enhanced shopping experiences – things you can’t find online. The family-owned Motor Group will lead us in the way of electric vehicles and in-car connectivity, launching the most exciting car of the decade this summer – the Volkswagen ID.3.The continued support of the local community has allowed this dealership to flourish and provide award-winning service a little closer to home.
